Pricing and refunds

The prices below are always exactly what the payment screen shows. This is a translation. If it differs from the Korean original, the Korean version prevails.

Prices

• Everything up to the preview is free. The full reading is paid, and you pay only after you have seen the preview.
• One-time payment, not a subscription. You are never charged again automatically.
• The payment method, price and currency depend on the country you are in. Korea pays in won; every other country pays in US dollars (USD) at one of four price tiers (A–D). Changing the language does not change the price.
• You can check and change your region at any time under Language and region at the bottom of the page. The payment screen also shows the region and currency applied. Picking another region never gives you a cheaper tier than the country you are in.
• Your reading has the same content wherever you live, written in the language you choose.

How payment works

• Korean payment: Korean cards only (cards issued outside Korea are not accepted). You may choose Korean payment from abroad if you have a Korean card. Payment processor: NICEPAY Co., Ltd.
• Outside Korea: Dodo Payments processes the payment as our reseller and the seller of record (Merchant of Record), and its name may appear on your card statement.
• International prices include VAT or sales tax.

How you receive your reading

• Usually within a few minutes of payment, sometimes up to about 30 minutes, we email a personal link to the address you entered. We keep your reading for 3 years after your last order, and you can reopen it with that link at any time during that period.
• We never ask for a phone number. To buy, you sign in with an email, Kakao or Google account. A gift recipient can enter their details without signing in.

Refunds

A gift can be refunded on request within 7 days of purchase until the recipient starts their intake; starting counts as opening, and waiting for intake does not trigger an automatic failure refund.

• If your reading fails to generate, we try again. If it still fails, we refund you in full automatically within 24 hours of payment, without you having to ask. We also refund you in full automatically within 24 hours if the email with your reading was not sent and you have not opened the reading yet.
• Refund on request within 7 days of purchase if you have not opened the reading. "Opened" means the body of any chapter was first sent to your screen (looking at the cover and contents alone does not count). The 7 days are counted from the day after purchase. For a reading made as a pair, such as Facing Threads, your partner opening their own copy also counts as opened.
• Because a reading is digital content, your right to withdraw from the purchase for a mere change of mind is restricted once you have opened it (Korean E-Commerce Act, Art. 17(2)(5)). For Korean payment we obtain your agreement to this before payment.
• Orders outside Korea: before payment, you are asked to agree separately that your reading is delivered right away and that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once it is delivered. The refund rules above still apply, and refunds for these orders are issued by the reseller to your original payment method. This does not limit your statutory rights for content that is faulty, cannot be opened or is not as described.
• Refunds are per reading ordered. If an upgrade has been added to a reading, the original reading cannot be refunded separately.
• A refunded reading's link stops working.

• These rules do not limit any consumer rights you have under the law.

Free trials and coupons

• A free trial code closes when its set number of places is filled, and each account and email address can use it only once. It cannot be used for gift purchases.
• If you enter a free code and do not finish your order, your place may go to someone else once 30 minutes have passed (at the latest within about 1 hour). A discount coupon may be released 24 hours after you enter it, and you then need to enter it again.
• A reading you receive for free has no payment behind it, so there is no amount to refund.
• Once your review is approved, we will send a 50% coupon for your next purchase to the email address on your order. Your rating makes no difference, and each account receives it only once. Reviews written by the partner on a book for two, reviews of a book received as a gift and reviews of refunded orders do not receive a coupon.
• The coupon can be used once and is valid for 30 days from the day your review is approved. It cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with another code, and it works only for payments in the region of the order you reviewed (Korea or overseas).
• If you get a refund for a reading bought with a coupon, we refund the amount you actually paid and do not return the coupon. If an automatic refund happens because we could not deliver your reading, we restore the coupon or the free trial place you used. The coupon's expiry date is not extended, and a free trial place can be used again only while the free trial has not closed.
• Reviews of a reading received as a free trial, and reviews for which we gave a coupon, also appear on the Dalgung site.
