Terms of service

This is a translation. If it differs from the Korean original, the Korean version prevails.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the reading service offered by Dalgung (operated by SIMGO Co., Ltd., "we"). The notice you confirm before starting, these terms, the pricing and refund page and the privacy policy apply together.

2. The service

Dalgung borrows the old symbols of Korean four pillars (saju), Western astrology and the I Ching to write you a reading told as a story by our characters (digital content).
Everything up to the preview is free; the full reading is paid. After payment we email you a personal link.
The body of each reading is written with the help of an AI writing tool, based on the results of fixed calculations (four pillars and astrological charts). The same input may therefore produce slightly different sentences.
Your reading has the same content wherever you live, written in the language you choose.

3. What a reading is

Dalgung readings do not predict the future or guarantee any outcome. They are for fun and self-reflection.
A reading is not medical, legal, tax or investment advice and does not replace it. Make important decisions about health, legal matters or money with your own judgment, and with a professional when needed.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the results of decisions made on the basis of a reading.

4. Using Dalgung

You must be at least 14 years old in Korea, and at least 18 outside Korea (including Japan).
Enter only your own details, or another person's with their consent.
Please do not: enter someone else's details without consent, access the service or collect data in bulk with automated tools, disrupt the service or get around its security, or sell or publicly redistribute readings.

5. Payment and delivery

Prices depend on the country you access the service from and first appear on the payment screen. Payment is one-time, not a subscription.
Usually within a few minutes of payment, sometimes up to about 30 minutes, we email a personal link to the address you entered. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact us.
Treat your personal link like a password. Anyone who has it can read the reading.

6. Refunds

If your reading fails to generate, we try again; if it still fails, we refund you in full automatically within 24 hours of payment, without you having to ask. The same applies if the email with your reading was not sent and you have not opened it. Refund on request within 7 days of purchase if you have not opened the reading. Because a reading is digital content, your right to withdraw from the purchase for a mere change of mind is restricted once you have opened it (Korean E-Commerce Act, Art. 17(2)(5)); for Korean payment we obtain your agreement to this before payment. For orders outside Korea, you separately agree before payment that your reading is delivered right away and that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once it is delivered; refunds for these orders are issued by the reseller to your original payment method. The detailed rules are on the pricing and refund page. Your statutory consumer rights apply regardless of these terms.

7. Rights

The artwork, characters, text and readings of Dalgung are our copyright. You may read and save the reading you bought for personal use. You may not sell or redistribute it without our permission.

8. Changes to or end of the service

We may change or stop the service. If this affects a reading you have paid for, we will email you in advance and refund any reading you can no longer receive.

9. Changes to these terms

We announce changes on this page 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days before for changes that are less favourable to you.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We will first try to resolve any dispute together through our contact email; if a lawsuit is needed, the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act has jurisdiction. If you live in another country, the consumer protections of your country also apply.
