La carte Retreat
Stepping back well
Don't give the meeting overtime.
You're still in that meeting because leaving feels rude. Someone keeps adding work without adding pay, and every objection starts another argument. The Back Door is behind your chair; you don't have to push through the people blocking the front. State what you can take on, close your laptop, and leave without defending your whole work history. Don't give the meeting overtime.
Taureau
La carte Biting Through
Clearing the obstacle
Don't tuck that excuse away.
Your collaborator has sent another explanation instead of the file. You're doing their part while trying not to make things awkward. In your hand today: The Wire Cutter, useful only when you actually squeeze. You have enough say to stop this, but you'll need to have the uncomfortable conversation. Tell them you can't keep covering, and arrange to proceed without their contribution. Don't tuck that excuse away.
Gémeaux
La carte A Dry Spell
Running low
Don't borrow against your body.
Even holding your phone feels like work. You've been pushing through meals and breaks, and now your hands aren't quite steady. You're looking into The Empty Cup, with more people still waiting to be served. Put down the extra work rather than finding another way to stay awake. Eat what's easy, sit down, and tell whoever's waiting that you're spent. Don't borrow against your body.
Cancer
La carte Standstill
A pause
Their silence isn't an invitation.
You've checked your sent folder again. The person who needs to approve this still hasn't answered, and you're tempted to go find them. Picture yourself outside The Closed Door, your usual persistence turning into louder knocking. Step away from the inbox and work on the parts that don't need permission. You can be thorough without making yourself impossible to ignore. Their silence isn't an invitation.
Lion
La carte The Marrying Maiden
A hurried union
Your signature isn't an apology.
That company name looks great on the offer. The pay and conditions don't, but you're already wondering whether asking for better makes you difficult. Walking into this in The Mismatched Shoes, you're feeling the pinch before you've even started. Write back with the terms you actually need. If they won't meet them, leave the offer unsigned instead of making yourself smaller. Your signature isn't an apology.
Vierge
La carte Mountain
Stillness
Another spreadsheet won't rescue this.
The deadline is getting closer while the group chat gets longer. Everyone has a different fix, and the actual work has stopped. At the foot of The Solid Mountain, you have somewhere firm to stand while everyone argues. Say that you're keeping the current version intact until there's an agreed change. Holding that boundary takes effort; inventing extra work only looks easier. Another spreadsheet won't rescue this.
Balance
La carte Abundance
The fullest time
Your wallet isn't the trophy.
Everyone's still congratulating you, and the paperwork is sitting untouched. You've started offering to pay for the celebration, even though keeping this up will leave you short. You're holding The Ripe Fruit; it won't stay fresh just because this moment feels good. Tell the friend arranging dinner that you're paying your share, then return to the approvals you've been avoiding. Your wallet isn't the trophy.
Scorpion
La carte Thunder
A wake-up jolt
Your reply isn't a performance.
The changed booking has you ready to cancel everything. You're furious about being messed around, but you're typing like you're completely fine. The Brass Bell is still ringing in your ears, making your quick reactions even quicker. Leave the cancellation screen alone until your jaw loosens. You can admit you're upset without sending the sharp little joke that makes this worse. Your reply isn't a performance.
Sagittaire
La carte Approach
Drawing near
That invoice won't forget you.
Something about your inbox keeps tugging at you. Beneath the chat with your supplier is the payment request you've forgotten, and they can't proceed without it. You hear The Approaching Steps outside while you're still looking for your keys. Open that thread and find the actual payment terms before tackling anything else. Handle what's due instead of assuming they'll send another reminder. That invoice won't forget you.
Capricorne
La carte Contemplation
Looking
Don't put anger in writing.
Your colleague's comment sounded pointed. You're already composing the message that makes them explain exactly what they meant. From The High Window, you can see the rest of the conversation, not just the sentence that stung. That wider view is useful, but getting it takes restraint. Read the thread without drafting your reply, and notice what else they were responding to. Don't put anger in writing.
Verseau
La carte Duration
Constancy
Your neck needs no subscription.
Your shoulders ache before you've finished the usual work. Everything feels repetitive, and that ad for a better productivity app suddenly looks convincing. Beside your laptop, The Old Clock keeps ticking without needing an upgrade. You're running low today; don't spend what's left rebuilding your whole setup. Use the method you know, finish the familiar work, and take your usual stretch break. Your neck needs no subscription.
Poissons
La carte Retreat
Stepping back well

Don't make your colleague chase you.
You're finding plenty to do except open that document. Your colleague needs the correction you promised, and you're rehearsing an excuse for being unavailable. The Back Door stands ajar beside your desk, especially tempting when you're this good at finding distractions. Stay seated, open the file, and tell your colleague what went wrong. Deal with their disappointment rather than disappearing. Don't make your colleague chase you.
