Meteor Shower

The Orionid meteor shower peaks tonight

The Orionid meteor shower reaches its peak tonight. With the moon at 67% illumination, brighter meteors are easier to spot through the moonlight.

Tiny specks of dust no bigger than grains of sand burn up high in the sky to make these streaks of light. On the same night, the moon is 67% illuminated in Aquarius. Venus appears to move backward in Scorpio right now and is hidden in the sun's glare, making it hard to spot.

In astrology, a meteor shower is read as a cue to catch a passing spark of inspiration. Jot down one good thought that crosses your mind today before it slips away.
